Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction
Welcome to RehabApp, a complimentary bed availability and reservation platform offered exclusively to qualifying state-funded Medi-Cal facilities. RehabApp is operated at the discretion of The McMillen Family Foundation and serves as a tool to facilitate connections between individuals seeking treatment and participating residential drug treatment centers, detox facilities, and sober living programs.
By accessing or using RehabApp, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you disagree with these Terms, you must refrain from using the platform.
2. Services Provided
RehabApp provides a real-time bed availability search tool that allows users to locate and reserve available beds at participating treatment centers. The platform consists of:
- Admin Side: Accessible to treatment facility staff for managing bed availability and client rosters.
- Search Side: A public-facing tool enabling individuals to search for and reserve available beds.
RehabApp does not provide medical advice or treatment or guarantee the availability or quality of services offered by participating facilities.
3. User Roles & Responsibilities
3.1. Facility Administrators (“Admin Users”)
- Facilities must ensure all bed availability data is accurate, updated, and maintained in real-time.
- Each facility will have designated user roles (e.g., Organization Owner, Site Admin, Intake, and Staff) with specific access permissions.
- Facilities are responsible for removing staff accounts when employees are no longer authorized to access the platform.
3.2. Search Users (“General Users”)
- Users may reserve a bed without creating an account.
- Reservations require submission of a first and last name, phone number, and email address, which will only be visible to the selected facility.
- Users must contact the facility within the designated time frame to confirm their reservation and complete any necessary pre-screening requirements.
4. Booking Limitations
- Users may hold a maximum of two active reservations at any given time.
- Attempts to book additional reservations beyond the permitted limit will result in an automated notification preventing further bookings.
- Each facility determines its reservation time limits, ranging from 1 hour to 72 hours. If a reservation is not confirmed within the specified timeframe, the bed may be automatically released for other users.
5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- No Guarantee of Treatment: RehabApp does not guarantee the availability of treatment, the quality of care, or successful admission into any facility.
- Independent Facilities: RehabApp is not a treatment provider and solely functions as a connection platform. All treatment-related decisions and interactions occur directly between the user and the respective facility.
- Facility Responsibility for Errors: If a facility is full due to a system error, staff mistake, or any other reason, it is the facility’s responsibility to assist the user in securing an alternative placement.
- No Liability for User Decisions: RehabApp is not liable for any decisions made by users or facilities or for any consequences arising from the use of the platform.
6. Prohibited Activities
- Abusing or manipulating the booking system.
- Providing false or misleading information when booking a reservation.
- Tampering with platform availability data or engaging in any fraudulent activity.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform or engaging in any activity that may disrupt its functionality.
- RehabApp reserves the right to restrict or limit access to users or facilities that engage in prohibited conduct.
7. Termination & Dispute Resolution
- RehabApp does not impose permanent bans but reserves the right to restrict access for users or facilities that abuse the platform.
- Any reservations, admissions, or treatment disputes must be resolved directly between the user and the facility. RehabApp is not responsible for mediating such disputes.
8. Force Majeure
RehabApp shall not be held liable for any failure, delay, or disruption in service caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, hurricanes, floods).
- Cyber attacks, hacking, or system malfunctions.
- Changes in applicable laws or governmental regulations.
9. Amendments & Updates
RehabApp reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms anytime. Any significant changes will be communicated through the platform, and continued service use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
